Week 9
Assalamualaikum and hello again! For this week, there's another presentation from Anis Syahirah, Munirah Asbi and Najihah. They presented about Learning on Information and Communication Technology (ICT). During this presentation. I learned that computer works when there are input and outputs then it can proceed with processing and storage.
a . Input devices - keyboard, mice , scan engine, microphone
b . Output Device - Monitor / LCD monitor, speakers, printer
Information technology also means it search and retrieve information while the software can be categorized as processing program, applications and utilities.
The importance of technology : -
a . Improve the management and administration of the country in a systematic and orderly
b . Assisting in the process of learning and teaching ( PDP )
c . As a tool for weather forecasting and navigation guide
d . The relationship involves other countries or more precisely the international relations.
Next, after the presentation, we move to the individual task which to get our hands on Microsoft Excel. Ms Mazalah conducted us step by step brief on how to use the program. We have been exposed to range of formulas on how to identify the functions that are intended to facilitate the calculation method gets the proper data such as :
1 ) The highest marks : code ( MAX )
2 ) Lowest Score : code ( MIN )
3 ) Average : code ( Average )
4 ) Standards : code ( STDEV )
5 ) The midpoint : code ( MEDIAN )
These are all important formulas that are available in the software to ease the work. We need to practice and remember to get a complete and accurate data. It helps to automate the work, thus save time spent on work.
